I have found that the marriage of enamel and wood to be a happy one. I have made the surrounds for these pendants from walnut and its rich, dark colour complements the bright patterns well.
Jewellery
I use stencils to create the enamelled copper shapes - you have to have a very steady hand to get a clean outline.
The patterns here were influenced by mid-century interior designers who used bold simple shapes and unusual colour combinations.
